A GROWING NEIGHBOURHOOD

The Oranga Development is well underway, transforming the area with warm, modern homes, safer streets and upgraded infrastructure. Over time, around 400 existing social homes will be replaced with approximately 1,300 new homes, including a mixture of social homes and homes to buy on the open market.

ON THE MARKET NOW

• Elaman have opened their sales suite on the corner of Oranga Avenue and Olea Road. Head down between Sundays 10am -11am to chat with the team about purchasing one of these new townhouses, due for completion in November 2026. Further info on the homes for sale here.

• Field Homes are welcoming pre-sales to their Roosevelt Rise development of 15 townhouses. The first six homes will be completed in November 2026, with an additional nine homes coming early 2027. Further info here.

WHAT'S COMING UP

TIMELINE

Autumn/Winter 2026

• Demolitions commence on 10 homes in the neighbourhood to make way for new social homes.

• Continuing design and consenting work for the multi-modal walkway upgrades, as well as the Olea Road – Fergusson Park frontage improvements.

• Design under way across 9 superlots on State Ave, Edmonton Ave, Torokina Ave and Gambia Place.

Summer 2026/2027

• Construction will commence on 22 new social housing homes across 3 superlots.

• Construction will commence on the first of the new walkways, along with improvements to the Olea Road – Fergusson Park frontage.

• The public wastewater extension upgrade on Rockfield Road will commence.
