What does your role involve?
My role as the Information Centre Manager is to be the first point of contact for people wanting to know more about the exciting Oranga Development. It involves connecting with the local community.
What do you enjoy most about your role?
I love being part of the positive changes coming to Oranga. I enjoy connecting with the local community and keeping them up to date with the changes in the neighbourhood.
What do you love most about Oranga?
The people. The Oranga community are a welcoming friendly community who are passionate and proud about their neighbourhood. I love Oranga’s location too, being central to the city and the top-class amenities within walking distance. One of my favourite spots to enjoy a walk and a picnic is the stunning Cornwall Park!
What were you doing previously?
I was working for Piritahi as the Community Liaison Advisor for the Roskill South neighbourhood in the nearby Kāinga Ora Roskill Development.
What do you like doing outside of work?
I love to cook. My signature dish is my trusty reliable Cantonese king prawns, BBQ pork, egg/spring onions fried rice. This is my all day kind of food from my childhood days, full of goodness and protein and just simply delicious! I also do lots of walking around beautiful Tāmaki Makaurau, there’s so many wonderful walks. My number one favourite walk would be Tamaki Drive, and at the end of the coastal walk I would get a steak & mushroom pie from St Helier’s Bakery!
