Fun at the Oranga Community Day
The recent Information Day at Oranga Community Centre was a chance for locals to find out more about the exciting changes happening in their neighbourhood.
Held at the Oranga Community Centre on Saturday 6 July, the team from HLC and Housing New Zealand were on hand to take people through the development plans, as well as talk to neighbours about what they’d like to see in their neighbourhood.
Visitors also enjoyed delicious food and drink from the variety of food stalls, and learned more about local community groups working in Oranga, including Citizen’s Advice Bureau, Synergy Project Trust, Oranga Community Centre, Te Papapa Preschool, and many others. Triple Teez were busy fixing bikes as people explored the stalls.
Soon the Oranga Development will be opening a brand new information centre on Oranga Ave, where people can ask questions and learn more about the development. In the mean time, drop in and see us at the Oranga Community Centre every Thursday between 12-2pm, where we’ll also have someone from the Citizen’s Advice Bureau team there to assist with any budgeting, legal or educational advice you might need. Otherwise email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or click here to sign up to receive email updates.
